Accurate license plate recognition system for different styles of Iraqi license plates

Automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) used for many applications especially in security applications, including border control. However, more accurate and language-independent techniques are still needed. This work provides a new approach to identifying Arabic plates different formats, colors, even English characters. Numbers, characters, layouts with either 1-line or 2-line presented. For the test, we intend use Iraqi as there is wide range of styles written Arabic, Kurdish, English/Arabic languages, each style color. variety makes it difficult recent traditional systems algorithms recognize all these types using same algorithm. In this work, method has been proposed efficiently plates. done by utilizing series preprocessing identification strategies. The results show that system recognized numbers higher accuracy, reaching up 97.85%. field detect when some high deformations they partially covered mud, which distinguish numbers.
